Presentations, Spring 2004

Class presentations will be done in groups of two or three and should use an entire class. The presentation should cover the chapter and topics indicated. In addition, the group will continue to be our "resident experts" for the entire time we spend on a given chapter. So this will require really learning the chapter.

There are various appropriate ways to divide up a chapter for presentation. For instance, one person can provide an overview of a chapter while another goes into more depth on a particular subject that seems important. Alternatively, a chapter can simply be split up by topic. Material can be presented through lecture, blackboard, handouts, examples, or demonstrations. But however you chose to present the material, you should assume that the rest of the class will have read the chapter in question and that there will be questions and a fairly high level of interaction.

Groups should feel free to meet with me prior to their presentations.
